Director's Profile
Ivars Seleckis was born in 1934 in Latvia. He is a founder of the Riga School of Poetic Documentary Cinema. His film Šķērsiela (The Crossroad Street, 1988) received three of the most prestigious documentary awards in Europe – the EFA award for the Best Documentary, the Joris Ivens award and the Robert Flaherty awards.
